Great place for food that warms the heart. My go to is the chicken and waffles. Although they could add more seasoning to the chicken it is a very delicious meal. Service is great even when they are busy. Stop in and try this great meal.

Great service, menu and atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the smoked salmon dip (favorite thing on the menu by far!) that is, fun fact: a family recipe. The sourdough with it was delectable. I had the sweet potato kale salad while my husband had the French dip. Wish we could’ve gone back again but we were only in Seward for the day. 10/10 recommend!

Several locals recommended this place to us so we figured we had to try it out. We agree: it is a must-visit restaurant in Seward! I really liked the atmosphere, it was a bit rugged and nautical but still felt refined and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the fried chicken. We also ordered the cauliflower appetizer (you need to order this, we absolutely devoured it!), the halibut, fish tacos, Alaskan king crab, carrot cake, and skillet cookie. Seriously so so good!!! I think this was probably our favorite meal while in Alaska

Some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. The gravy was incredible. This place is not highly rated enough! Definitely the place to get brunch in Seward.

Such a wonderful find! This charming restaurant was just a short walk from our hotel, and we loved it so much we went twice—once for dinner and again for brunch. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, both in decor and in the people who run it. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For dinner, the grilled halibut was our favorite, and for brunch, the Crows Nest was hands down the best breakfast I’ve had in ages. Highly recommended!

The clams were good but the best part is the warm bread served with the clams. It was so good, we asked for another order of bread. The butter was soft and salty - yummy.
The shrimp arugula salad was tasty. The vinegarette dressing had good flavor.
I ordered the seafood special cod blackened. The seasoning was great. It was good enough that my son ate my plate instead of his. I only wish the cod portion was a little larger.
The fried chicken is made with boneless thighs. This is great because we prefer dark meat. The pickle slices in the dish were awesome - sweet and spicy!
My son got the Mediterranean linguine with chicken. The chicken breast meat was a little dry but he liked the rest of the dish.

Went during a busy dinner time and the service was still amazing. If you are a calamari fan, get the appetizer! You will not regret it. I had the white pizza and my partner had the Alfredo. Both were top notch.

To kill some time in the rain, we stopped in here at the recommendation of a local…the fish and chips were delish!! Tartar sauce and slaw were great too! Service was hospitable and beer menu was all local AK. Prices weren’t any higher than any other place we’ve eaten in AK…they’re high all over the state but we expected that. I would eat here again 🙂

I was seating quickly, and the hostess was professional and kind.
I was seated in a booth in the bar area. My server was the man behind the bar, and he was BUSY! Despite being busy, he was prompt in taking my order, getting me a drink, and anything else I needed.
My food came pretty quick, and it was good!
The Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza was delicious. I'd order it again. I ate half there and half the next day.
I don't know why, so many places make paying painfully long. This was not the case here. He brought the check, ran the card, and I was off in just a couple of minutes. (I've had this part of the service literally take 10-15 minutes, easily.)
I'll be back here and recommend it to others. What to try next time?
